Slavery Historian Kenneth Stampp Dies

Elaine Woo of the Los Angeles Times has done a wonderful job of explaining the importance of Kenneth Stampp's 1956 book on slavery that refuted the prevailing belief that all slaves were happy and all owners were nice guys.
