USS Constellation combatted slave trade

This weekend in Baltimore, staff of the historic USS Constellation are offering a tour and discussion of the ship's history in the fight against the trans-Atlantic slave trade. She chased and caught the slaver Cora, as told in this dramatic account in the May 1894 Century Magazine.

The Constellation was launched in 1854 and was on active duty through World War II. Visit her at the Inner Harbor, Baltimore. The presentation and tour are offered at 2 and 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, and are covered by the regular admission.
