Custom craftsman duplicates field desks
Need a reproduction of Gen. Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson's field desk, or maybe the one used by Gen. Robert E. Lee? The man to see is Joe Cress, a former teacher and now custom craftsman, who specializes in such work.
The Abington, Va., resident works out of a 2,000-square-foot shop behind his home and, according to a story by Laura J. Mondul in TriCities.com, has pieces in 33 states and several museums.
