Free Civil War music and dance

The Gettysburg Music Muster is worth a trip to the Pennsylvania town no matter how hot the day. On Aug. 21, from 10:40 a.m. until sunset, the 16th annual event will offer authentic Civil War era music, played mostly on original instruments.

This year, the Victorian Dance Ensemble will perform in period dress, accompanied by the Susquehanna Travellers. The grand finale of the two performances, one beginning at 11 a.m. and the other at 4:10 p.m., will include audience participation.
