The subtext in this story is that this woman was a liberal, obviously mentally unstable, and she blamed a black person.

FREEPOST: What are you? An idiot? Why does she have to be a liberal? Seems to me that this unfortunate woman refered to Jesus several times - seems to fit the conservatine mold.

Two data points, two facts.
This woman blamed and made up a peculiarly vicious story about a black woman who did this to her, the horrible mutilation she perpetrated on herself. She even said, in a freakishly perky TV interview, she hoped to forgive the black woman someday, because she needed to get on with her life.
Her mother's Facebook page rants about the ground zero mosque.
