Christine O'Donnell cancels on Sunday shows

Christine O'Donnell was going to Face the Nation on Sunday. Now she isn't. She canceled at the eleventh hour.

The Senate nominee from Delaware also kissed off "Fox News Sunday." So she's not taking Sarah Palin's advice to "speak through Fox News."

Hmm. She had done the three network morning shows. Have her advisers soured her on the "liberal media" already?

Karl Rove, who called O'Donnell a sure loser and a little "nutty," will be on Chris Wallace's show. Was O'Donnell afraid of running into him in the green room?

Bill Clinton will Face the Nation, and also Meet the Press. David Gregory's other guest is Colin Powell.

On CNN's "State of the Union," Candy Crowley will chat up Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), who just shushed talk that he might run for president in 2010.

ABC's "This Week" will have a more international focus, with Christiane Amanpour talking to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Hillary Clinton. Hey, that means both Clintons will be out on the Sunday circuit.

O'Donnell is getting bad advice.

Last Thursday she had her first debate with Democrat Coons and the paper said she did well against him.

I know she's not afraid because she would have backed out of the debate if that was the case.

I think she should go on those shows, who cares if Rove got into a hissy fit because she beat Castle, the RINO darling of the old guard.

What, are they going to enlist McCain to tutor her and the rest of the tea party candidates the way he tutored Sarah Palin?

What is it with these tea party people? The have a trail of their comments and beliefs, spouted all sort of nonsense, hate and craziness but now want to clam up? Do they think the American people in their states are just going to vote for them because they hate President Obama? I sure as hell hope not. But then again people have been completely nutting up because of President Obama so who knows. Racism, hate and intolerance seems to be growing amongst some scared, vulnerable people.

I just wonder when they are going to tell the American people what their plans are for the country? Are we supposed to just elect them and hope for the best? What do they propose to do to get our country back on track? What are they going to do to create jobs? What about health care? We know absolutely NOTHING other than the craziness they spouted to win their primaries now they are clamming up. Something about this just doesn't sound right. In fact it sounds un American.

Karl Rove DID NOT say O'Donnell was a "sure loser" or "a little nutty" in the manner he implies. Let's look at what Rove actually said, and how Kurtz took it out of context. Rove's exact quote(s) were these:

"The polls would seem to indicate that she's a sure loser based on today's numbers, but as we know there's plenty of time between now and the election, and Tea Party candidates have already proven their ability to catch up and exceed deficits of this nature."

His other comment, also taken out of context by liberal Kurtz to prop up his biased view of O'Donnell as some sort of "coward", was as follows (September 12:)

"Some say she (O'Donnell") may be a little nutty to expect to win in a Democrat-leaning state like Delaware. However, she certainly has as good a chance to upset the apple cart this year as any other Republican candidate - possibly better." (By the way some people, interpreted this statement as a swipe at moderate Republican Mike Castle).

O'Donnell backed out of all of the interviews not of out fear, but to avoid slander and thinly disguised mud-slinging - including liberal-leftist Gregory's pseudo-impartial discussion hour. Clearly, they hoped to discredit and embarrass here and make her look like a buffoon whatever it took. They cared nothing for her stand on issues, but rather were focused on arranging an ambush to tar-and-feather her in the hopes of assisting their Dem friends in Delaware and to put a halt to the pro-constitution Tea Party Express.

By cancelling Fox News at this time, she was simply being fair - not giving preference to ANY news channel. That was a very smart move indeed.

I heartily applaud Christine O'Donnell and look forward to her victory in November. There never was a more clear-eyed woman in public life.

Remember also how much liberals hate females who don't back the feminist-liberal agenda. They consider them traitors, direct threats to their own distorted view of society and social policy. That's why they've worked overtime to demonize Sarah Palin, and any conservative female candidate. It's why they are trying to do the same with Christine O'Donnell.

I think liberal Democrats and left-leaning "moderate Republicans" whose days are numbered are in a for huge shock come November, and I for one will be grinning from ear to ear as I run to cast my vote for candidates who actually really do love this country.

The Tea Party backers (Dick Armey, etc.) have instructed members to study up on Alinsky and use his techniques, so you'd better be prepared to shun your fellow man at the next big happening.

And the Koran is the sacred scripture of the second religion to be spawned from Judaism and the second largest religion in the world (and the fastest growing). If you can't respect the religion, don't expect anyone to respect yours (or you).

Another Palin. Probably hasn't read a book of any complexity in a decade. Maybe her hands are too small for notes. BUt here's the stinky piece of it: she used her church as cover. She used religion as an excuse to get out of owning up to her idiot ideas. I'd say that's blasphemous but it's more like just immature and adolescent.

All they want are candidates who claim to love the country and hate "Warshington." Sprinkle in some nonsense about tax cuts fixing everything and they'll vote for you.

Tea Party candidates are wasting their time when trying to prove their acumen...the people voting for them wear their ignorance of how the economy and country actually function as a badge of honor.

Pulled out of Fox News. Good Lord! What does the woman want. Did they threaten to ask her questions?

If she can't handle Fox is there any chance she'll take on a debate. None of the old Republicans were afraid to go on Fox.

A shame that O'Donnell doesn't presently hold an elected office, that way she could claim she is resigning and try to be a Palin wannabe.

The woman is a complete nut case, not qualified to represent the state of Delaware, or anyone else. She can't even handle her own financial obligations.

Someone, I don't know who, has probably been collecting her trash, and found the mountain of unpaid and delinquent credit card debt.

Perhaps someone found the empty anti-depression drug pill bottles, prescribed to you know who.

Perhaps someone found some notes and other things.

Yes Christine, the bank is wrong, the credit card company's are wrong, IRS is wrong, everyone is wrong but little Christine. She is the self described chosen one. God will get her out of this-No, God will not lie for you.

The woman does not have a life, a job, any track record and is a liar and a cheater. She also has a huge yellow streak on her back because she knows they (voters) will find out what a fraud she is.

This is going to be "TOM EAGLETON" all over again. Stand by YOUTUBE.

You people really better start thinking with your heads and not with your emotions. O'Donnell has no real income that she can account for and had to transfer her house to her boyfriend to try and hold off foreclosure.

So how on earth can she competently decide on legislation related to economic matters????? HEL-LOOOOOO???? Anyone of you have a brain or do you share one tiny one?

Seriously - wake the eff up -- George Bush was another fiscal incompetent who brought all his companies right in to bankruptcy - so you fools elect a total incompetent and then he did the same with the US economy all cause morons voted with their hearts/emotions instead of with your heads.

When you pay someone to do your taxes do you pick the guy you want to sit next too at your church bbq or do you go with someone who has education and experience in taxes????

So now the fools are listening to incompetents such as Palin and O'Donnell and then to Rush, Hannity & Beck - all con men extraordinaire who each get paid millions of dollars to sell you fools meaningless foolish gooblidigook.

I wouldn't care so much about you being the biggest lump of fools on God's Green Earth - but this is MY country you keep screwing. And no, I didn't vote for Obama -- but there is no way I could ever vote for Bush or for Palin or anyone Beck/Rush/Hannity back.

(And no, you aren't all going to win the lottery and become the 'rich' that Obama wants to pay more taxes - it's just not goinbg to happen. Again, WAKE UPPPPPPPP.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Anyone that allowed the media to make their decision on who to vote for shouldn't be voting anyway. Everyone of us who voted had every opportunity to learn as much as they could about the candidate they decided to vote for. If you didn't your bad.

And YES!! 20 months later I still support President Obama. Unlike people like you, I am willing to give him time to deal with the many, many serious problems the previous administration left for him to deal with. I'm not trying to ignore his accomplishments. I'm not trying to pretend he didn't inherit a mess from the Republicans. I am not trying to pretend Republicans are not trying to destroy him. I'm not trying to pretend that President Obama is a miracle worker and could change this country's problem with the wave of a magic wand. I see for myself how hard some American people are trying not to accept the outcome of our fair and free election and our duly elected President. I see and hear everyday how they want him to fail. I know that some American people would never, ever give President Obama credit for anything. I am surrounded by a bunch of sore pitiful losers who just can't seem to grasp that the American people rejected Republicans and Republican policies. They elected Barack Hussein Obama to clean up the mess. Unfortunately a lot of Americans have lost control of all reason and sense of what America is all about.

Sure did. What's your point? The left has populated Washington with every flavor of freak, degenerate and loser imaginable.

I don't have a problem with O'Donnell.
///////////////////////////////////////////

This is exactly what is wrong with the candidates the TEA party aka as the Republican Party is supporting this year they don't have a problem with a person who practiced witch craft hardly part of the judeo-christian nation that constitutionalists claim to be you have candidates that want to abolish Social Security, the Education Dept, the EPA Congress and the activists courts. I assume that is all federal courts. They want all govt agencies shut down that private enterprise can do it better, how has that Halliburton contracted war in Iraq and Afghanistan worked out for you? a million dollars per person per year sounds expensive to me since the average soldier makes about 25,000 a year, so who's getting the real money? Must be the private contractors.

Sharon Angle lives on her husbands federal retirement checks, Joe Millers parents live on SS, Christine ODonnell doesn't pay her taxes or her bills she lets her campaign funds pay them yup she will fit right in on Capitol Hill she will need a few extra aides to handle the cash donations and keep them off the books

if you elect her you deserve her and if your only defense of her is the democrats are worse then you are pathetic they should all be in jail just like Cold Cash Jefferson s long as you ustify theft and fraud then it will continue beause you want it to, me I want better out of all of them

Perhaps Face the Nation could book our Democatic Senate nominee from here in South Carolina, Alvin Greene. He won the nomination while unemployed and living at home with his mother. He has a felony indictment hanging over his head, so may need permission to travel. He has a great program to spur the economy - he thinks there is a big market for action figures of himself. I can't understand why the major media outlets are not taking more interest in his exciting campaign.

Christine should not be ashamed of working , or wanting to be a witch. Then at least should would have something on her resume.

Hello , my name is Christine O'Donnell and I am running for the seat of U. S. Senate from Delaware.

After 17 tears in college at age 41 I got my college degree. I have less correspondence college credit hours than Sarah Palin. For the past five years I have worked as a candidate for the U. S. Senate. My salary is determined by how much campaign money I get.

I am different than any other candidate:
1. I don't have a track record.
2. I never masturbate, nor should you.
3. Women should be servants to their men.
4. God rewarded me with this job,
because I flunked the witch school.
5. I tell gay people they are sinful
and evil.
6. Sorry, what is a condom?
7. My position is what ever the tea party
poster says it is.
8. No I don't masturbate, it just happens
in the shower.
9. No, I take my self seriously.
10.I never do an interview on the day I
watch people masturbate.

Shan, Karl,Glenn,Rush, McConnell, Boehner, Demint, Sarah-this is our candidate, she is unbeatable. Yours, Rand and Sharon

I can't wait until election day.

It seems that Sarah Palin can step aside for a while from the "treatment" she has relentlessly received from the liberal loons for the longest of time now. Now it's Christine O'Donnell's turn at the the liberal altar of malicious discontent, innuendos, dirt-digging, and smears. Now they are digging up decades old videos on O'Donnell where she expressed her views on sexuality, witchcraft, etc. She now states that her views on many topics have changed over the years, but that doesn't matter - they will hold her to every word she has ever uttered and castigate, berate, and smear her. What are they afraid of since they put so much emphasis on a loser, as they so charitably call her?

======================
Well, I'm not a Tea Party 'member.' For there is no membership, or party for that matter.
Instead, it's a movement. A growing cross-segment of American society that's alarmed by the path we're on.
So what do we want to Take Back America from? Well, for starters, it's the reckless borrowing and spending that, as Secretary Clinton recently noted, is America's number one security threat.
You see, by being in over $13 trillion of debt to largely foreign lenders, we are giving these foreign interests control over our own sovernity, and destiny.
If they decide to stop lending, or even worse call the current loans, our economy will crumble.
How could this happen, you might ask? Well, that's the other thing we need to Take Back America from: professional politicians that seem willing to sell their votes to the highest bidder. And even though we pay their salaries, we stand second to the lobbyists who enrich them even more.
But if the truth be known, the main thing we want to Take America Back from is those who seem intent on robbing our children and grandchildren from the liberties and riches we have so taken for granted.
They are at the core of this grand experiment we call democracy, and their future is anything but certain. Unless that is, We Take Back America from these clear and present dangers.
Hope that helps.

Rev Jim, are you REALLY ignorant enough to believe that Coons is a Marxist/Leninist?
And if so, and Marx and Lenin are really demonic characters in your frightened, 13th century world-view, wouldn't it be WORSE to consort directly with the DEVIL, thru witchcraft, as O'Donnell has done, than to consort with him indirectly, thru his evil agents, Marx and Lenin? I mean, O'Donnell went directly to the source, while Coons is only taking the indirect route, right, Rev? And what is so bad about Kenya, is that the Headquarters for the Devil? Please explain it so I can understand...

Quitting Face the Nation I can understand, because that is a real show, and she'd be asked real questions... But Fox "News" should be mother's milk to a far right nutjob like O'Donnell, they've even given Sarah Palin a job! Uh oh, the Republican grease fire is still blazing...the man who bought most of Bible Spice's 30,000 votes (a tiny fraction of Republicans registered to vote in Delaware, a state in which D voters outnumber Rs by as much as 2:1, depending on the year) is getting hit from all sides.

From the NYT...

"Russo’s [Tea Party Express]group is also under attack from Republican Party leaders in Delaware, who have accused the Tea Party Express of improperly collaborating with Ms. O’Donnell’s campaign. Federal laws allow political action committees to support candidates independently, but they are not permitted to coordinate their spending with campaigns...Russo refers to some Tea Party activists who fault him over his political résumé as “nuts and crackpots.”

Well he's got that right.

Right.

That's why the teabaggers were so enthusiastic about the Bush Jr/Cheney Administration's Constitution-shredding policies including:

Warrantless spying on US citizens

Torture as official US policy

Indefinite detention

Suspension of habeas corpus

Now, I hear no teabagger anger about those unchecked, executive powers, especially glaring considering how often they blather their nonexistent love for the Constitution.

I don't see the irrationally angry teabaggers insisting on criminal prosecutions of the last Administration for these clear attacks on our Constitution.

Which brings up the inability to square this particular circle on the teabaggers part.

Either they don't really believe all the "socialist/Marxist/secret Muslim" drivel they're spouting off about Obama-as if he really was any of those, the teabaggers would have to believe he'd use all those unchecked powers, first claimed by the Bush Jr/Cheney Administration, against them.

OR

The Teabaggers love a fascist government, with untrammeled power in the hands of a President who claims independence from Congressional oversight, powers which clearly go against everything our Constitution stands for.

The teabaggers are the problem with our country, not the solution, they cheered on policies which drove our country into the massive ditch we currently find ourselves in, such as leaving our children paying for the Iraq occupation-based on flat out lies-for years, seeing as that money was never appropriated the proper budget procedures, but with supplementals.

The teabaggers whine and caterwaul about massive govt. bailouts of the financial services industry, then explode in rage when it's suggested that govt. deregulation/industry self-regulation is the exact cause of those bailouts they claim to despise.

The baggers obviously believe in corporations being allowed to rape consumers, patients, policy-holders and investors, with no legal-system access for the aggrieved parties, otherwise they'd be arguing the Constitution protects "we the people" more than out-of-control industries and fascist-leaning elected officials.

Such easily-led sheeple deserve nothing but contempt, scorn and ridicule, their policies and beliefs go against everything they claim to stand for, especially the Constitution.
