Daniel Wilcox of the Baltimore Ravens and Tavon Mason formerly of the New York Jets were at McKinley filming a movie for the National Football League (NFL). It is an interactive training film that aims to inform players about how to act on and off the field. The movie, which was produced by WILL Interactive, was filmed at several different locations around the Washington, D.C. area, including Potomac, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia. Ashley McBride and Sulaymane Sillah, both seniors at McKinley, had the opportunity to intern with the company during the duration of the filming.

"I learned a lot about the filming process and even acting," said Sillah. "The cast and crew members were welcoming and really down to earth."

McBride and Sillah managed the extras and even doubled as extras in two scenes. For the scenes that were filmed outside, they made sure no one crossed in front of the camera during the taping. They were paid $75 a day. Both students will continue working with the company in the summer.

"It was a great learning experience and I am looking forward to working with them in the summer," said McBride.

The purpose of the movie is to inform athletes about how to be good role models and how to act responsibly. The prototype will be about 15 minutes long and will be shown to head coaches around the league as well as NFL representatives. If everyone likes what they see, WILL Interactive will be given more money to expand it and make a full length feature presentation. A decision will be made by March.
