Women's Basketball vs. Archbishop Carroll (1/18/2008)

In what looked like a great game that would be played out with close scores until the final buzzer, the Women's Varsity Basketball team again brought the crowd to its feet. We played Carroll at home and we had numerous players who just couldn't stop scoring. The leading scorers were seniors Kala Nwachukwu, Tiana Myers, Ebony Edwards, and Tierra Thomas. Alexis Canady had a slow start with two taped fingers but still played it through, and managed to put up some good shots. The starting players played a huge role in getting the game rolling from the beginning. When they were up by 12, the team began to sub in new players from the bench and the score continued to rise.

"It was a good game. We blew them out and everybody on our team scored," said Taryn Pope '09.
Senior starters Tierra Thomas, Tiana Myers, Alexis Canady, Ebony Edwards and Kala Nwachukwu will all be recognized for their accomplishments during Senior Night, on February 9th, 2008. And with the team doing so positively and with the game versus Carroll being a huge blowout, the McNamara Basketball fans have nothing but good things to look forward to.
