Here's a Rental 'Candidate' for You...

There are places to rent for the inauguration -- and then there are places to rent that are being rented by folks who actually ran for president.

It seems that former U.S. Sen. Fred Thompson, who lost out to Sen. John McCain in a bid for the Republican nomination, is renting out his D.C. pad, according to the New York Post:

A source tells us the ex-Republican presidential candidate and part-time actor, who did 142 episodes of "Law & Order," is offering to rent his luxury one-bedroom condo in Washington, DC, for five days. The price: $30,000.
