Obama Pick of Inaugural Pastor Angers Some
Gay rights activists and other progressives are protesting the selection of pastor Rick Warren of the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., the largest church in the United States, to deliver the invocation at the inaugural. Warren supported Proposition 8, the measure that amended the state constitution to exclude same-sex couples from the legal definition of marriage. This is a video clip of Warren endorsing the measure:
Gay activists denounced the selection of Warren. The Minnesota Independent runs down some of the backlash
Also, the Human Rights Campaign sent a blistering letter to Obama (D) in which it called the choice of Warren "a genuine blow" to gay Americans, who supported Obama overwhelmingly in his race against Republican nominee John McCain.
The letter noted Warren's vocal support of California's Proposition 8, a ballot measure banning gay marriage in the state that was approved by California voters last month. "By inviting Rick Warren to your inauguration, you have tarnished the view that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans have a place at your table," the letter said.

Has anyone done a crook-check on Pastor Warren? How many millions does HE pull in each year as pastor of a megachurch?
WAPO, National Enquirer, somebody, get in the saddle and check this guy out.
