18 Ordinary Citizens to Join Obama, Biden on Train Trip
When President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joseph Biden travel to Washington by train from Wilmington, through Baltimore, 18 ordinary Americans will be with them, courtesy of an invitation from the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
The group includes a workers' rights activist, a solider who advocates on behalf of those with post-traumatic stress disorder and some who have lost work during the economic downturn.
The invited guests are: Mark Dowell, Crestwood, Ky.; Matt Kuntz, Helena, Mont.; Jim and Alicia Girardeau, Kansas City, Mo.; Juliana Sanchez, Albuquerque, N.M.; Rosa Mendoza, Las Vegas, Nev.; Lisa Hazirjian, Cleveland, Ohio; Kirsten Meehan, Dover, N.H.; Roy Gross, Taylor, Mich.; Shandra Jackson, Arlington, Tex. Quincy Lucas, Dover, Del.; Patricia Stiles, Parker, Colo.; Gregg Weaver, Fairless Hills, Pa.; Tony Fischer, Cinncinati, Ohio; Lilly Ledbetter, Jacksonville, Ala.; Mike and Cheryl Fisher, Beech Grove, Ind.; and Randy Wehrman, LeClair, Iowa.
