Exactly how was it again that the Kennedy Mafia was able to prevent an autopsy from being done when Mary Jo Kopechne was left to drown alone? Wasn't it state law in Massachussetts that autopsies were required in ALL cases of unattended death, as it is in most, if not all, other states? That's not something that a victim's family, sheriff, police chief, or medical examiner could legally have waived, even if they WERE paid off! Because there was no autopsy, no one could PROVE whether she was pregnant with Teddy's child (as was rumored), and if so, whether she might have been slipped a mickey before the car went into the water, which would have been a convenient way to be rid of her AND the baby. It may not have been an accident at all! Was Teddy aware that she couldn't swim? Was there any evidence of a blow to the head? No, just a poor girl who was left to drown alone, a driver that ran away, some powerful lawyers and politicians, and a suspended sentence for leaving the scene of an accident. Anybody that was paid off to prevent an autopsy, and whoever PAID them off should go to jail for a LONG time!
