Dallas Pastor to Give Private Service for Obama
African-American megapastor T.D. Jakes will give the sermon at Obama's private worship service the morning of his inauguration, a source said. The Pentacostal minister pastors the 30,000-member Potter's House in Dallas, is a best-selling author, TV personality and movie producer. He is also considered one of the most mesmerizing preachers in the country.
Last month, Obama named Jakes as a member of his "prayer circle" from which he has drawn much support. The service will take place at St. John's Episcopal Church, a historic church across Layafette Park from the White House.
