Free Phone Application for BlackBerrys, iPhones to Help Navigate Washington
Coming to Washington from out of town and worried you won't have enough real-time information to make your way around town? Two local companies--Qorvis and Patton Boggs--have developed a cell phone software application to help you. The software is designed to provide information about inaugural events, including balls, restaurants, Metro train and bus schedules, news alerts, weather, wi-fi zones, ATMs, Starbucks stores and parking garages. It is available here for BlackBery Bold and iPhone users. More information about the producs, which are free, along with demo videos, are available here. Washingtonpost.com's Going Out Guide also is available for mobile devices -- online, as an iPhone application and via texted searches.
