HBO Will Broadcast Concert Live, Free, Online
HBO announced today that they will broadcast Sunday's We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration live beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET, rather than only tape-delayed at 7 p.m., as previously announced.
The tape-delayed broadcast still will be shown, and a second replay has been added to HBO's schedule at 11:30 p.m. that night. The concert, which will feature Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, Josh Groban, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Shaikira, Garth Brooks and many other big-name performers, will be an "open broadcast" -- free to all cable or satellite subscribers -- and also will be available live online.
Finally, the event will also be presented at the same times on HBO Latino, with the non-musical portions of the program dubbed in Spanish.
