Inaugural Snow?
The D.C. Department of Transportation just issued a bulletin saying it has deployed work crews after the National Weather Forecast called for a possibility of up to an inch of snow, beginning around noon today. The agency has sent out 123 heavy plows and 86 light plows along with spray trucks, which will canvass the city spraying brine, salting streets and plowing, if necessary.
"Snow is expected to be light but will fall for most of the afternoon and evening; and with falling temperatures, slick roadways and icy conditions are anticipated," the transportation agency said.
