Inauguration Day Bike Valet Locations Announced
Those looking to bike to the inaugural can park their two-wheelers at two valet stations -- one on the south side of the Jefferson Memorial and the other on 16th Street NW between I Street and K Streets NW, the Washington Area Bicyclist Association announced today.
The lots will be free and open from 7am to 5pm. They can handle about 1,000 bikes in all. In the case of extremely bad weather weather, the valets will be closed, but the unattended bike parking racks will still be available for use, the organization said in a news release. Those who use the service will receive a commemorative claim check and bicycle spokes card. More information can be found on the WABA Web site.
