Metro Releases Parody to Help With Safety

Metro expects record ridership on Inauguration Day Jan. 20. It will be running rush hour service from 4 a.m. through 9 p.m, then regular hours all the way till 2 a.m. Jan. 21 after the inaugural balls. The transit authority released this video to help people with tips for rider safety.

Speaking of transportation, The Maryland Transit Administration announced that MARC Train tickets to the Inauguration are sold out. But its special Commuter Bus service to Metrorail on Inauguration Day is still available. Commuter Bus shuttles will operate between 5:30am and 10:30 am from selected park and ride locations for travel to Metrorail stations at 15-minute intervals.
Return trip service will resume at 4:00pm until 9pm. Reservations are not required and customers can purchase their round trip tickets onboard Inauguration Day. Tickets are $10.00 and customers must have exact change.

Kent Island to New Carrollton every 15 minutes
Prince Frederick/Dunkirk to Branch Avenue every 15 minutes
Upper Marlboro to Branch Avenue every 15 minutes
Charlotte Hall to Branch Avenue every 15 minutes
Waldorf (Blue Crabs Stadium) to Branch Avenue every 10 minutes
