Millions Watch Inauguration on Web
In a milestone for online video, the inauguration became the most-watched event in the history of the Web, with one company saying it streamed coverage to 7.7 million computers simultaneously, the Associated Press reports. CNN said it delivered 21.3 million streams in the course of nine hours.
Most major news companies used Web video -- including washingtonpost.com, which broadcast from its newsroom and the Capitol.
The change marks a big difference from the previous inauguration -- which predated YouTube.
