Motorcade Thrills Parade-goers
The slow progress of the presidential motorcade has given some cheer to chilled viewers along the parade route.
The line of vehicles, which included dozens of police cars and motorcycles, departed from the White House around 10:55 a.m. and elicited cheers all along the route, although there was some debate about whether it was President Bush or President-elect Obama receiving their applause.
Michelle Obama appeared to be riding with first lady Laura Bush, and waved to the crowd.
