Nationals Stadium Parking Garage Open for Inauguration
Planning on bringing your car for Inauguration Week and looking for places to park? Nationals Park, the stadium for the city's professional baseball team, is opening one of its garages for the public at a cost of $20 for the day and $35 overnight.
Parking Garage B, at the corner of N Street and South Capitol Street SE, will be open 24 hours starting Friday at 7 a.m. through midnight Monday. According to the team, no additional cars will be allowed to park in the garage after midnight on Monday because of security restrictions. Cars already in the garage will be allowed to exit after this time, but will be required to defer to security restrictions and police requirements for exit routes for the area. All vehicles may be retrieved on Tuesday, January 20 after 6:00pm when travel restrictions are lifted.
The garage will operate on a cash-only, first-come first-served basis. No in-out privileges allowed. The garage is about a 15-minute walk from the Capitol.
