Obama Launches Public Service Announcement
Barack Obama is trying to translate the excitement surrounding his historic election and pending inauguration to rally volunteers to public serivce. Monday will be a National Day of Service, Obama's attempt to redefine the meaning of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday holiday. The idea is to get people to sign up for events near their homes. Now Obama has released the public service announcement above, which has been posted on YouTube and other media sites.
A similar radio ad also is airing.
