Another Obama Anthem
TV writer and producer John Donley is hoping the Presidential Inaugural Committee will take a listen to a song he co-wrote for the inauguration. "This song just popped into my mind," said Donley. "The whole idea was to embody the spirit of Obama."
Donley, whose credits include "Who's the Boss," "Benson," and "Good Times," said he and his team just finished recording the tune last week. "We don't have much time," he said, referring to contacting the PIC and hopefully, getting heard.
Aren't there already plenty of Obama songs, particularly by will.i.am.?
"Yeah, but it's not competing. It's a song very much different than what he's doing," Donley said.
"It's a must-listen," he added. Hmm. Inauguration Watch's take is that it sounds a lot like the theme from Perfect Strangers, that 1980s television show.
But you be the judge and take a listen for yourself

Not a must listen. Sounds very sitcomish.
