Virginia Offers Free Bus Service

Virginia transit officials announced they will be providing free bus service to Metrorail stations, Potomac River bridges and pay for four Metrobus lines that will go into the District.

Bridges from Virginia into the District will be closed to regular traffic. Only buses, taxis, limousines, pedestrians, bicyclists and Segway riders will be allowed to cross the bridges.

Shuttles will also be provided from 25 park-and-ride locations to Metrorail stations.
Details of the plans and routes can be found here.
