I'd Like to Have a Word With You...
The Fastest Blog on 2 Feet is doing a chat on Washington Post.com Friday at noon. Please follow the link (above and below) to ask questions about local lacrosse, non-local lacrosse, who scored Arsenal's second goal against Liverpool on Tuesday or which character Eli Wallach played in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."
Seriously, it's a big weekend in lacrosse. Navy at Army. Maryland at Hopkins. Georgetown at Loyola. Duke at Virginia (Duke's first trip there since 2004) are the major men's games on Saturday. Georgetown Prep at St Albans is Friday.
In women's lacrosse, Notre Dame visits Georgetown and Navy plays Bucknell, also on Saturday.

The Navy teams, both men and women, always looks more athletic than any other team. Even in still photographs the players always come off as very dynamic, strong, fast and agile. Is their conditioning and training program that much more intense or is it that the athletes who decide to play for Navy are just like that to begin with..

Christian,
Great Blog. I cant be on the chat today, but I got a question for you. In your opinion, why has the Georgetown program not had the level of success one might expect from them at this point in Urick's tenure. Don't get me wrong, they always get a couple of nice wins each year, but they cant seem to get over the hump(one final four I believe). They can never win a big game when it counts (Navy in March doesnt count) What gives, is it coaching, player talent, attitude?

Sunday morning 11am. Once again, not a word in your paper about Virginia v. Duke except your blog fluff about Duke. Only Virginia coverage is when they lose to Maryland. Can't even get a score from your blog. Your bias against Virginia is out rageous!

Henry!! Welcome to the Internet. First time user, it would seem. Look a few posts above where you left this comment--it mentions Duke's 19-9 win [that was the final score] over Virginia, with a link to a story about the game. We also had some pregame analysis from a former UVa assistant coach on the Duke-UVa game. And we did a feature story in the paper on UVa goalie Bud Petit before the game. That's just our UVa coverage this week. So I assure you there is no bias against UVa! We will be in Charlottesville for the ACC tournament, too.
