Talk To Chuck (Schumer)? Can't. He's on TV.

An amusing media moment just before the end of today's nearly five-hour Senate Banking committee grilling of Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke involving loquacious committee member Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Schumer ducked out of the marathon hearing before it ended and popped up on CNBC, to talk about his proposed changes to the Wall Street bailout plan.

Back in Dirksen G-50, where the hearing was trying to finish, committee Chairman Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), looked over at Schumer's chair and, finding it empty, said, "Sen. Schumer wanted to ask one additional question; I assume he's on the way over."

On CNBC, Schumer was still talking.

So Dodd recognized Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.), who asked Paulson a couple of questions.

Schumer? Still on CNBC.

Dodd then recognized Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.): "Did you have a question?"

"I think since we're filibustering for Schumer..." Corker said, drawing laughter. "I know they have to go and I candidly wouldn't keep them unless we're filibustering."

"We do have to go," Paulson said.

"Let's end it then," Corker said.

Over on CNBC? Schumer's segment has ended. But not in time!

Dodd had a few concluding remarks, then wrapped up: "Sen. Schumer is going to submit a question in writing he has for you."

Schumer sits squarely, immediately, in the

pit of the problem of Wall Street. He is the defender of, the epitomy of, the

prototype for the greedy b/st/rds who've brought us where we are.

His word are worthless, as is his word.
He think fairness and a good deal is flyover country bailing out the
New York Wall Streeter's Penthouses.

Beyond disgust.

I concur. Smcuck Schumer didn't want to ask questions for the obvious reasons, so he goes and pretends he is on TV.

That's the tactic used by Obama when he was in the Illinois state senate when his vote was need for anti- death penalty vote. In another occasion he claimed he was in Hawaii, and even had his girl "sick".

These "lawbreakers", i mean, lawmakers. CONGRESS IS A PIG STY!!! WE ELECT PIGGIES TO S/C/R/E/W/ US.
