Wall Street Dives at Open, Recovers Quickly
Don't walk away from your desk -- you'll miss a 300-point Dow swing.
Wall Street is veering around like a Saturday night drunk. Assuming that Saturday night drunk is driving a Formula One race car.
After diving 200 points in the opening seconds -- forget minutes -- the Dow is now back in positive territory, trading up 150 points, or about 1.3 percent.
Wait a minute. Since we typed that sentence, the Dow has dropped and is now trading about 80 points up.
You see what we're talking about. And the trading day is barely 30 minutes old.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq also are in positive territory, with the Nasdaq up more than 2 percent.

Sorry to disappoint, but I need to go up on the roof and do some work here. I'd love to keep watching. If I don't fall off the roof, I'll check it out later. For now, I trust you'll be watching and that's about all I know from here. Keep us Posted.
