Weekend reading: This Saturday's Real Estate section features an Inhabit piece by Nancy McKeon. She takes us through a home in Northwest Washington that was remodeled in stages -- following the definition of "green" as it has evolved over the years. And we debut a new opinion column from Harvey S. Jacobs, who has long practiced real estate law and closings (and other types of law) in the Washington area. No worries -- Benny Kass will continue to write his Housing Counsel column as well. If you have questions for either Kass or Jacobs, you can send them to me at razzie@washpost.com, and I'll forward them to the experts.
And check back later today for the Weekend Poll. These are non-scientific and not representative of anything official, of course, but I found it interesting that more than a third of last week's respondents said they would move if Washington regularly got the kind of snow we have received this year. And I think they mean it, too.
