Compact floueescent light bulbs:
1. Most don't fit existing light fixtures with shades,
2. They don't last as long as advertised, and warranties are useless when trying to get a refund,
3. Many are not 'instant' on; i.e. full brightness and/or there is a delay before the bulb starts up,
4. They do save energy and minimize heat addition to a room.
