2 killed in crash on B-W Parkway
Two Herndon men, a 67-year-old father and his 38-year-old son, were killed early Sunday in a car crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, U.S. Park Police said.
According to preliminary investigation, their southbound car apparently crossed the median in the Laurel area and collided with two cars in the northbound lanes about 1 a.m. the Park Police said.

My husband and I drove upon the accident, a minuet or two after the crash had happened, I pulled over to the side to see if I could offer any assistance since I am Trauma Registered nurse, a long with other by standers, who manage to get another victim out of his car, who was entangled in his car, that crashed down the hill into the woods. My payers go out to the Family who lost their loved ones, and to those who are recovering in the hospital. All of us that stopped to help, until Emergency Service had arrived, worked hard to help everyone involved in the crash. Everyone please be safe out on the road

One reason when going to baltimore I always use I-95....might take me a little longer but the extra width compared to the BW parkway makes me feel more comfortable....
Been in the area since 1956 and the BW parkway has never been a pleasurable drive no matter the time of day or night....

How sad. I wonder if the driver tried to dodge a deer or fell asleep. BW parkway is unforgiving just like GW parkway. You have to have your wits about you when driving it, especially at night.
