2 Loudoun officers seriously injured
Two motorcycle officers with Virginia's Loudoun County sheriff's office are hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries after a road accident.
Sheriff's spokesman Kraig Troxell said the accident occurred Saturday morning after a vehicle going the opposite direction on Harpers Ferry Road near Purcellville, Va. turned in front of the officers. Both deputies swerved, according to Troxell, and one officer's motorcycle struck the vehicle.
Troxell said the other lost control of his motorcycle while trying to avoid the turning vehicle.
Troxell said both deputies were airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital and they remain hospitalized there.

Cops these days are all police academy. Slow down! They tell us to slow down but they can't control their own speeds.

So that's what happened. Hope they are OK. They had this one Loudoun sheriff's car blocking all traffic from traveling down Rt. 9 just over the WV border at the intersection of Rt. 9 and 340 and it created this little gridlock of people being turned away with their cars turning and going in all directions, not knowing why or what was the alternate route. Its seems they could have had another cop directing traffic.

Maybe one came later while I was busy maneuvering this very winding back road...the cop did tell me which way to go after I got out and asked him...sort of...

But then, I guess the important thing is that the cops are OK...

Not that I'm scared that I'm going to be taken to jail for being a little too outspoken or anything...no not at all...

I was going to go tubing today! I had driven up there from DC and after I bought the tickets, the accident happened in front of me. It was difficult to come or go anywhere for a few hours. Good to hear it wasn't a life threatening accident, because by the looks of it, I wasn't so sure.
