2 stabbed, one fatally, in Fairfax
Two people were stabbed Thursday afternoon, one fatally, inside an apartment in the Bailey’s Crossroads area, Fairfax County police said.
Police were summoned to an apartment in the 6000 block of Argyle Drive about 5 p.m., said Lucy Caldwell, a county police spokeswoman. Police found a woman suffering from stab wounds dead at the scene.
Police also found a man suffering from life-threatening stab wounds, Caldwell said. The man was taken to Inova Hospital Center in serious condition. The man is considered a suspect in the stabbing of the woman, Caldwell said.
The woman and the man knew each other, but the nature of their relationship was not immediately clear, Caldwell said. The woman’ identity was not immediately released pending notification of relatives, Caldwell said.
