2nd Va. toddler falls from window
A 2-year-old was injured after apparently falling from a third-story window at her home in Falls Church -- the second time in four days this has happened to a young child, police said.
Police said the 2-year-old girl was playing with her siblings when she fell from the window of an apartment on the 3600 block of Barcroft View Terrace around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The child was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. No charges were filed in the case.
On Saturday, a 2-year-old boy died after injuries he suffered in a fall from a third-story window in his Reston home. The boy had apparently leaned against the window screen when he fell. He was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police investigated the incident and preliminarily determined that no charges would be filed.
Police cautioned that with warm weather approaching, residents should be careful when they leave windows open to let in fresh air. Fairfax County officials have issued important tips for all homeowners to help prevent children from falling from windows.

I want all children to be safe. I looked at the links and think the ones I saw are good. Some are in Spanish. Take a look.

Momma, she's crazy.
Nobody told me I had to watch the toddler/infant/baby/whatever 24-7. All I did was let it pop out of me. It was my great-great-great grandmommas turn to keep an eye out for little Buckethaid.
Everyone is so sensitive. Can't wait for someone to disrespect them so they can go off. Oh, the pain, the pain...

With the type of parenting that some of these children have, it would have been a blessing to have babies that bounce. People you have to watch your children; don't leave it to other children or the TV to do. If you don't want to be responsible 24/7, then please don't have them. These are tragic.

ged0386,
I would bet based on where the apartment is located that the child was Latino. I also applaud you for listing your education level in your username. That is very bold.

Does anyone NOT understand that kids can lean on window screens and fall out?? That is why you open windows only a bit so kids can't squeeze through, or you open them from the top.

A chimp could do a better job than most of the "mothers" today.

Whats wrong white people, too embarrassed to comment on one of your own? If they were black or hispanic you would be all over this. Come on, you can do it.
