3rd shooting at military building linked
Authorities have linked a shooting this week at a vacant Marine Corps recruiting office in Fairfax County to two other recent attacks on U.S. military buildings in Northern Virginia.
FBI officials said Thursday that ballistics tests linked bullets found at the recruiting office Oct. 26 with those recovered last week at the Pentagon and the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle.
In all three instances, the shootings occurred overnight or in the early morning hours. The shooting at the museum was discovered Oct. 17., and shots were fired at the Pentagon Oct. 19.
