Police investigate threats at T.C. Williams
Alexandria police are investigating rumors of possible threats being made against T.C. Williams High School, a police spokeswoman said Thursday afternoon.
No charges have been filed. Rumors of an attack come just before the anniversary of the April 20, 1999, Columbine High School massacre in Colorado.
“While most rumors turn out to be nothing more than talk, we do take them seriously,'' administrators wrote in letter than went home to parents Thursday. "Threats or intimidation can be grounds for suspension, expulsion, and arrest even if a student claims he or she was joking.”
