Anne Arundel officer injured in traffic stop
An Anne Arundel County police officer was injured Saturday afternoon while conducting a traffic stop near Baltimore-Washington International Marshall airport , according to WBAL -TV (Channel 11).
The incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Route 100 at Route 170, which is about one mile south of the airport. The officer or his vehicle was hit by another vehicle, according to news accounts.
He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in what was described as a precaution.
