Boy hospitalized after D.C. house fire
An 11-year-old boy was injured and at least eight other people were displaced in a fire early Saturday in Northeast Washington, authorities said.
Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the D.C. fire and emergency medical services department said the fire was reported about 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of 50th Place NE.
The boy was taken to a hospital. Three adults and at least five other children were displaced, along with their dog, Piringer said.
He said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
