Boy injured after school bus collides with car
UPDATE:
A boy received minor injuries after a school bus collided with his father's car in Chevy Chase Tuesday morning, according to Channel 9.
The accident occurred in front of Rock Creek Forest Elementary School in the 8300 block of Grubb Road around 8:42 a.m. Montgomery County officials said the father drove his car to the front of the school to drop off his 6-year-old son. A school bus entering the front driveway jumped over a curb just as the boy opened the passenger side door of the car.
The boy suffered lacerations to his hand, which was inside the door when the bus struck the car. The boy was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
No other students or drivers were injured.
