Building locked down after reports of gunman
A medical office building in Oxon Hill was locked down Thursday night by Prince George's County police due to a report of a gunman who committed a robbery inside, officials said.
Police received a report of an armed robbery in progress inside of building in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road about 8:30 p.m., said Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a police spokesman. No injuries were reported.
Few details of the incident could be learned immediately.
Several people locked themselves inside of rooms on upper floors of the building, as they and police were not sure if the gunman was still in the building. Police declared the incident a "barricade situation" and were sweeping the building in search of the gunman.
No arrests had been made as of 10:30 p.m.
