Cattle killed in Fauquier County barn fire
A fire that raged through a barn at the Fauquier Livestock Exchange early Tuesday left several cows dead, WRC-TV (Channel 4) reported.
Initial news reports said dozens of cattle were killed in the blaze, which illuminated the pre-dawn sky near the rural town of Marshall, Va., about an hour west of Washington. But Channel 4 later corrected its report to say that at least five cows had perished.
The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
