Car crash kills man in Boyds
Montgomery County police are investigating an early Sunday morning crash that killed one man and injured two others on Route 28 in Boyds.
Police said a silver 2009 Infiniti G sports car was traveling northbound on Route 28 through the intersection with White's Ferry Road when the car crossed the double-yellow line into opposing traffic just after 4 a.m. The car hit a white 1999 Isuzu box truck traveling south. Police said it is unclear why the Infiniti veered across the lanes.
The driver of the Infiniti died at the scene. Police have not released his name because his family has yet to be notified. The driver of the Isuzu, a 62-year-old man from Poolesville, and a passenger in the truck, a 32-year-old man from Northwest Washington, were taken to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
