Car struck by train in Montgomery Co.
A car was struck by a train in Montgomery County on Friday night after getting stuck on the tracks, authorities said.
No injuries were reported and all occupants got out of the car safely, said Capt. Oscar Garcia, a fire department spokesman.
The incident occurred about 7:50 p.m. in Gaithersburg. Further details were not available.

that location is an at grade crossing at a major intersection.
it is also in very,very poor condition and causes vehicles to get stuck...this accident could have bee avoided if they only maintained the track crossing in a better manner.

Here's a further detail--it was on N Summit Ave in Olde Towne--the helicopter hovering overhead alerted me that something had happened!
