Cracked water pipe closes Bishop Ireton

By Washington Post editors

Bishop Ireton High in Alexandria will be closed Tuesday because of a cracked water pipe, according to the school's website. The school's main water supply pipe cracked Monday, possibly because of the cold weather.

All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Tuesday, except for the women's basketball games at Bishop McNamara and the swim team's meet at Chinquapin.

The men's basketball games against McNamara will be played Wednesday night at Godley Gymnasium.
