Crews make emergency repairs to Montrose Road
Commuters who use Montrose Road should find alternative routes over the next two days as crews complete emergency repairs following an early morning tanker truck fire near the interchange with I-270. State highway officials say Montrose Road will remain closed in each direction between Tower Oaks Boulevard and Seven Locks Road in Rockville. The ramp from southbound I-270 to westbound Montrose Road is open, but all other ramps are closed.
Lanes will reopen sometime later tonight, but motorists can expect lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday for roadway paving. Weather permitting, all lanes should be open by Friday afternoon, weather permitting.
