Two pedestrians struck in Rockville area

Two people, one of them a child, were struck by a vehicle in the Rockville area Monday night, Montgomery County police said.
The incident occurred at Veirs Mill Road and Atlantic Avenue shortly after 7 p.m., police said.
According to initial indications, the injuries were not life-threatening.
