11th homicide in 11 days in Pr. George's

Prince George's County recorded its 11th killing in as many days Tuesday when a man was shot during an apparent residential robbery in the Hyattsville area, Crime Scene reports.

Officers were called to the 8800 block of 38th Avenue for a report of a residential robbery with shots fired, according to Lt. Tammy Sparkman, a police spokeswoman.

THIS STORY IS NOT CORRECT. The shooting occurred in COLLEGE PARK, on the 38th Avenue off of Metzerott Road...NOT HYATTSVILLE. A UMD student was murdered.
