2 shot, wounded in Southeast D.C.
Two people were shot and wounded Sunday afternoon in Southeast Washington as part of some type of domestic situation, authorities said.
Details about the incident were scant, but police said the two victims were conscious and breathing when they were transported to the hospital just after 3 p.m. The shooting occurred in the 3000 block of Stanton Road SE, police said.
Investigators from the 7th Police District, rather than homicide detectives, were called to investigate, possibly an indication that the victims are likely to live. Police did not immediately release information on the victims or any suspects.
