4 years for bowling pin beating death
A former University of Virginia student who admitting bludgeoning his father with a bowling pin has been sentenced to four years in prison, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Alan Y. Chang was sentenced Thursday in Henrico County Circuit Court for his September manslaughter conviction.
Relatives testified that Chang’s father, 47-year-old Jian Zhang, had abused them and Chang said he feared for his life after he was confronted by his father following an argument last January.
