5 students arrested in alleged iPod theft
Five Rockville High School students were arrested in connection with the theft of an iPod in a local park, authorities said Wednesday.
Officers from the Maryland-National Capital Park Police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in Rock Creek Stream Valley Park near Parkdale Road on Tuesday at about 10:30 a.m. A juvenile reported that five people had stolen an iPod, valued at $199.
With the help of the victim, the five suspects were apprehended near the location where the alleged robbery took place. Three of the suspects were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery and two were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. All five were released to the custody of their parents.
