6 injured in car accident in NE D.C.
Six people were injured, at least one seriously, in a car accident near the intersection of South Dakota Ave and Gallatin St NE Thursday night, D.C. police said.
The accident, which involved a van and a car, was reported at 8:47 p.m.. All six people were taken to the hospital by ambulance. South Dakota Avenue between Farrugut Place and Galloway Street NE remained closed late into the night as the police worked to investigate and clear the scene.
